RUD L-ABA Weld-on Lashing Point
Shows damage & wear with the innovative RUD patented wear marking indicator:
Much like the popular ABA pad eye, the L-ABA Lashing point are forged out of the high strength material CrNiMo, quenched and tempered and surfaced in phosphate for improved material strength and wear resistance. They are loadable in any direction and operational to temperatures as low as -40 degrees.
The patented wear marks on both the inside and outside of the body. These wear markings allow the user to know if there is more than 10% wear on the item. If there is more than 10% wear on a lifting or lashing point the item must be removed from service. Another valuable feature of the wear marks on the L-ABA is that they also show the angle of the attachment point relative to the L-ABA lashing point.
Although the L-ABA is made out of the same material and has the same design as the ABA, it is rated with safety factor of 2:1 instead of 4:1 because it is rated with a force rating and not a mass rating. L-ABA is rated with the force rating Dekanewton (daN) instead of by the WLL, which is commonly used for lifting. The force rating (daN) is embossed on the side of the L-ABA.
